Wellness
Teaching each student, how to curate a healthy & happy lifestyle is our intent by introducing the subject, Wellness. To be able to create a balance, in the six aspects of their lives, the physical (active energy, patience & focus), the mental (understanding our feelings & emotions), the social (strong bonds with school peers, family & friends), the intellectual (curiosity & awareness) the environmental (responsible & mindful) and the spiritual (gratitude & calmness). The concept of positive psychology & emotional intelligence is integral for a child’s, mind-body holistic development. Our wellness classes are about sharing, caring, asking why, and figure out why not, offering constant support & love.
Permaculture
Permaculture as a subject encourages students to develop life-enhancing skills like growing food and working hands-on with tools. It is the knowledge about the growth of agricultural ecosystems in self-sufficient and sustainable ways. This form of agriculture study draws inspiration from nature to develop synergetic farming systems based on resilience & natural productivity. The students are introduced to soil health and its dependence on microorganisms and organic matter like leaves and twigs. Observing and interacting with plants, soil, bugs, bees, and birds. Most importantly they are introduced to permaculture ethics, the value we give, and how we contribute to our outer environment, a determining factor for our global well-being.
Sports
Body, Movement & Energy- the 3 key elements of positive sports psychology. The sports classes are a blend of indigenous games and prominent sports. A lot of focus is given toward curating a whole bunch of innovative exercises that help the students learn how to lead and also be team players. Their athletic ability is supported and encouraged, it is essential that the benefits of being active are understood by the students. Our aim is to help them feel stronger, more excited, and give their best shot, every time they are in a sports class. The idea is not about winning or losing, sports help the kids focus, and be endearing, the concept of practice makes them better, learn how to support each other, and finally celebrate moments together. Playing fair, and improving self-esteem, and energy balance are the many other benefits of holistic sports psychology classes.
Art
The beauty of the subject Art lies in the fact that it is completely subjective, it offers the freedom to express yourself as and how you feel. Work in Art methodology is planned to engage, inspire and challenge students, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to experiment, invent and create their own works of craft and design, using a wide range of media and tools. We aim to develop children's ability to express their ideas and their ability to represent what they directly observe. Art experiences involve drawing, painting, clay modeling, printmaking, and work with textiles, thread, and sculptures. Students are also introduced to the work of artists, craftspeople, and designers, and encouraged to find their own unique artistic expressions.
Drama
In the drama class, students get to explore their bodies and minds to get to know themselves better. The subject drama takes the students through a journey, working with imagination, movement, improvisation and concentration. Practicing the concept of team work, being able to understand different kinds of emotions and characters, based out of what they can do with their own bodies and experiences and finally being able create their own content.
Music
The music class aids the students to express themselves with the help of Rhythm & Movement. This methodology helps the students explore all four senses at the same time. It improves their Hand and Eye Coordination and enhances their verbal and listening skills. Rhythm is extremely important in almost everything we do- it is necessary for understanding events in time, for engaging in dialogue and for coordinating and synchronizing ourselves with one another. The journey begins by introducing the children to the concept of Rhythm using Claps, Body Drumming, Feet Stomping and Matching the beats to a song.
